To fully leverage the role of the "Sci-Tech China" pilot park Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City in gathering innovative resources in Hainan's key industries such as tropical agriculture, tropical marine, and biomedicine, the "Sci-Tech China" Hainan Science and Technology Service Team held a roadshow for biomedicine and marine industry innovation sci-tech achievements in Wutongyuan, Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City on the morning of October 22, 2023. ABB Professor Lu Yandu was invited to attend and served as the Chief Expert of the "Sci-Tech China" Hainan Science and Technology Service Team.

At the end of 2021, Hainan's "14th Five-Year Plan" was released, focusing on cultivating and strengthening high-tech industries, involving modern biomedicine, Nanfan (seed breeding), and deep sea. As China's only tropical ocean province, Hainan's vast sea area continues to nurture the robust development of marine biotechnology and marine exploration technology. Therefore, under the guidance of the Hainan Association for Science and Technology, to expand the event's influence and integrate multiple resources such as Sci-Tech China, achievement transformation, and technology transfer, this technology roadshow was co-organized with the National Technology Transfer Center Hainan Center.
This event arranged 7 technology-themed roadshow projects, inviting research institutions and technology enterprises such as the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS), Hainan University, Hainan Smart Maritime Technology, and Hainan Huayan Collagen to report. Several industry experts and representatives of investment institutions were invited to discuss and exchange views with the reporters on the development prospects and core technology R&D capabilities of the roadshow projects from multiple dimensions.
