Aligned with the Hainan Free Trade Port strategy, our mission is to break through the critical industrialization bottlenecks—specifically the extraction difficulties, low yields, and high costs associated with marine bioactive substances. We are driving a revolutionary shift from "passive discovery" to " rational design and precision synthesis," aiming to establish a world-class hub of innovation and industrial advancement in marine bio-manufacturing.
We have established a research ecosystem centered on the "Design-Build-Test-Learn" (DBTL) cycle to enable the sustainable production of marine bioactives. By integrating synthetic biology with green manufacturing technologies, a comprehensive microbial production workflow was established through following stages: mining and intelligent design of genetic elements for novel substances; construction and precision synthesis of cell factories for rare and high-value compounds; engineering optimization and intelligent fermentation; the innovative biological products were developed and put in an application.
Our pure and highly active raw materials—produced through synthetic biology—are utilized in development of high-value-added products, including advanced medical aesthetics, specialized enzymes, and nutritional supplements. In this way, we contribute Hainan’s strength to advancing human health and global sustainability, transforming the region’s natural resource endowment into a technological and industrial advantage.
