From November 20 to 22, 2024, Wang Huning, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), conducted research in Hainan. He stated that it is necessary to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, improve the grand united front work pattern, fully leverage the powerful role of the united front as a magic weapon, and gather strength for further comprehensively deepening reform and accelerating the promotion of Chinese modernization.
Wang Huning visited Haikou, Qionghai, and Sanya successively, going deep into port comprehensive passenger transport hubs, universities and secondary schools, Taiwan-funded enterprises, Li ethnic villages, scientific research institutions, historical and cultural blocks, and religious venues for research. During this period, Wang Huning visited the State Key Laboratory of Marine Resource Utilization in South China Sea at Hainan University and gave important instructions.
