On November 24, 2024, Professor Yang Guang from Nanjing Normal University visited the College of Marine Biology and Aquaculture at the invitation of Professor Lu Yandu.
Professor Yang Guang communicated with faculty and students on the theme of "Evolutionary Mechanisms of Secondary Aquatic Adaptation: From Genes and Genomes to Evo-Devo." Based on his personal years of research experience, Teacher Yang explained the team's research achievements in recent years regarding the diversity, origin, evolutionary history, and secondary aquatic adaptation mechanisms of marine mammals. The professor's report, which was both professional and easy to understand, benefited the students greatly. During the session, faculty and students interacted with Teacher Yang regarding their respective research directions. At the meeting, Professor Yang Guang finally called on everyone to join hands to protect endangered marine animals.
