Vice Chairman of the Second Council of the National Marine Carbon Sink Alliance, Executive Director of the Society of Microbial Oceanography. Long engaged in research on the interaction between marine algae-bacteria-viruses and associated marine carbon storage mechanisms, macroalgal carbon sinks, and microbial resource development. Currently presides over key projects of the Joint Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key special topics of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and key projects of the Center for Ocean Mega-Science, CAS. Has published 80 papers as first or corresponding author in journals such as Science Advances, National Science Review, mBio, Limnol & Oceanogr, Water Research, and Environ Sci & Technol. Compiled the report "Strategies for Increasing Marine Carbon Sinks in Coastal Cities" for the international organization C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, and served as a lead author in compiling the "National Blue Carbon Sink Research Report: Feasibility Study on National Blue Carbon Action".
